SPNeX [NARSS]

The SPNeX (Space Plasma Nanosatellite Experiment) is an Egyptian 6U CubeSat developed by the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA).

The mission combines space plasma characterization with Earth observation.

  • The plasma investigations are intended to measure properties of the near-Earth space environment, supporting studies of ionospheric and magnetospheric conditions. Such data are typically used to improve understanding of space weather effects on satellites and radio propagation.
  • The Earth observation component is intended to provide imaging data of the Earth’s surface. No official information has been released on the spatial resolution, spectral bands, or intended applications of the imaging payload.

SPNeX was launched on 10 December 2025 by a Chinese Lijian-1 (Kinetica-1) launch vehicle.
