Tatara 1 [Terra Space Corp.]

Tatara 1 was a technology demonstration satellite built by Terra Space Corp. hosting payloads from several customers.

Among the payloads are three Cubesat deployers (2 × 3U, × 6U), apparently without real CubeSats. Also the "Space Temple Gounji" including a Buddha statuette, which was commissioned by a subtemple of Daigoji Temple, and "Mt.FUJI," a small reflector for satellite laser ranging (SLR) developed by the JAXA Tracking Network Technology Center and manufactured by Saga Prefecture were onboard.

The satellite was launched on the second flight of the KAIROS launch vehicle, but failed to reach orbit.

A reflight called Tatara 1R on the third flight of the KAIROS launch vehicle also failed to reach orbit.
