     Captain William Byam is the son of William Byam.² He married Mary Burgh, daughter of Reverend Richard Burgh, in 1781.¹

     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Limerick in 1713.² He lived at Rathjordan, County Limerick, Ireland^G.¹
