Explorer 109 and 110, are two of many drill holes on gold anomalies in the Tennant Creek district, conducted by Peko-Wallsend in the late 1980's and early 1990's.

The two anomalies are near the Tennant Creek repeater station, 3.6 kilometres north-east of the Tennant Creek town site.

Explorer 110 is the smaller of the two, tested by a single drill hole, showing ironstone, hematite shale, shale, greywacke, and quartz-feldspar porphyroid. No lodes were encountered, and the best gold grade was 1.4 g/t. Explorer 109 was larger and more elliptical, tested with one drill hole, showing 'a suite of rocks', with a well developed quartz-magnetite lode, minor chalcopyrite and pyrite. The best grades were 0.2 g/t Au and 0.03% Cu.
