Creva Wood Mine is a misnomer which first appeared in the book by Hogg (1825) and was then carried over by Greg & Lettsom (1858), Hall (1868), Collins (1871) and various other authors. As pointed out by Sir Arthur Russell, it really refers to Pencrebar Wood Mine.
