Closed and rehabilitated tin mine, but some ore material is still lying about.
Located on the western side of Story Creek approximately 3.5km north-west of the Aberfoyle Mine (Aberfoyle Tin Mine; Rossarden Tin Mine), Rossarden mining district, Northern Midlands municipality, Tasmania, Australia.
The Mine was worked by Storeys Creek Tin Mining N.L.[No Liability] Company and was one of the major tungsten producers in Tasmania.
The mine lease covered a combined area of some 463 acres.
The lodes are quartz rich veins in hornfelsed, tourmalinised, sandstones, and contain wolframite, topaz, muscovite and cassiterite.
