Storstrecksgruvan
A classic locality for huge (more than 50 cm) crystals of calcite found in large cavities in 1937 and 1952. A selection of the best crystals was saved and donated to the National Museum of National History in Stockholm (Riksmuseet) by mining engineer Halvar Löwenhielm who in 1937 was awarded the large Linné medal in silver by the Royal Academy of Science for his efforts to preserve these unique specimens.
