A hill near Bendougou village. Source of abundant finds of spectacular botryoidal prehnite specimens on large doubly-terminated epidote crystals, which have also been attributed to "Nioro du Sahel" and other sites in Kayes Region. (Info from Rock Currier, who visited the locality in 2006.)
The area is rolling savannah country with hills often capped with diabase which formed localized skarns in which the locals dig for prehnite, garnets and epidote.
The site is about 7 km NE of Bendougou, to the east of the track to Diabé. The Djouga and Kolon sites correspond to Bendougou3 of Maiga et al. (2003). (Information from Demetrius Pohl.)
