Lead-zinc mine located 140 km NW of Guatemala city, 12 km WNW of Huehuetenango city, at elevations between 2,000 to 2,250 meters. Ore hosted in Permian dolostone breccia. Worked intermittently since the 16th century. Includes the Verde adit, Santa Rosa workings, Galeria Nueva, Los Ramos, San Juan workings, American shaft, La Iglesia stope, San Juan stope, No. 2 workings.
