A copper and tin mine that was started in the 18th century. For some time, it was included with Great Dowgas Mine, which it adjoined to the east, but around 1820, it started working independently. In 1835, it included Wheal Hawkins and was working a tract of land south of Trewithen farm under the name East Wheal Strawberry (Mining Journal, 31 December 1836). In 1844, it was amalgamated with St Austell Consols. The workings comprised two shafts, which are indicated as East and West Strawberry Shafts on the Ordnance Survey map of 1881. The grid reference marks the approximate position of the eastern shaft.
Under the name Wheal Unanimity, the mine produced 1,124 tonnes of 6.5% copper ore between 1815 and 1828.
