Hydrothermal vein-type antimony-gold deposit, hosted mainly in tonalite-granodiorite and very minor metamorphic rocks (paragneisses, migmatites). Gold has been mined in this area since the 13th century, initially from placers in alluvial sands and gravels along the Boca river north of Nižná Boca village, and later from veins in the area south and southwest of the village. The last mining activities date back to the late 19th century.
