small Porphyry Cu-(Mo) deposit.
The exposed formations in the Hengxingcuo mining area include (1) Lower Triassic Malasongduo Formation (T1-2m), which comprises light gray-green blocky rhyolite, rhyolitic gray limestone, gray lithic sandstone, mudstone, and fine conglomerate; (2) Upper Triassic Jiapila Formation (T3j), consisting of purple-red muddy siltstone and silty mudstone interbedded with quartz sandstone; (3) Upper Triassic Bolila Formation (T3b), characterized by dark gray to light gray medium-thick limestone, gray to fine-grained quartz sandstone, and interbedded gray sandstone and shale. Additionally, the area features extensive Triassic granodiorite, with ore-bearing porphyry bodies intruding into the granodiorite. This body includes granite porphyry intrusions as dikes, with a minor presence of quartz diorite porphyry dikes locally. The Hengxingcuo monzogranite–granite porphyries are classified as medium to high–K calc-alkaline and exhibit metaluminous characteristics, with with SiO2 concentrations ranging from 68.76 wt% to 70.96 wt%, K2O contents of 3.43 wt%–6.67 wt% and A/CNK values of 1.01 to 1.07. They have MgO contents of 0.93–1.53 wt%, and REE contents varying between 138.95–199.41 ppm.
