Hintere Hüttellehne

Abandoned talc deposit (quarry) and nearby outcrops with mineralized fissures. Belongs to the Sobotín Massif, originally Devonian rocks strongly affected by Variscan metamorphism.

Zadní Hutisko is a natural monument ev. No. 947 about 4 km northeast of the village Vernířovice in the district Šumperk. The small protected area is located in the valley of the Merta river at the southern foot of Mount Homole (1210 m) in the Hrubý Jeseník mountains. The area is managed by the AOPK CR Administration of the Jeseníky Protected Landscape Area.

In addition, this locality is reported by as one of magnetite deposits of the area, and as such would have such a characteristics:

Metamanganolites (gondites/coticules), once treated as iron formations, within gneisses - one of the occurrences close to the Sobotin gabbro-amphibolite massif.

The gneisses bear magnetite ores mined between the XVII and XIX centuries, and then in the XX century.

The gneiss sedimentary protolith is suggested to be synchronic with black smokers emanations that delivered manganese to it.
