Quarry in limestones of Frasnien (Upper Devonian) age.
These very folded and fractured limestones contain calcite and dolomite. Occasionally one finds also pyrite, marcasite, baryte and goethite.

The quarry produces aggregates for public works and concrete. Exploited since 1860. It is currently owned by the Company of the Careers Bocahut de Glageon which ensures the extraction and the marketing of the aggregate.
NOTE: The quarry site is closed, supervised and access is prohibited without authorization of the management.
