Quartz vein-type gold deposit, controlled by a ductile-brittle shear zone.
It consists of about 40 auriferous quartz veins, yielding a proven reserve of 75.144 t Au with a grade of 7.65 g/t, plus an indicated reserve of 34.3 t Au, and therefore, ranking as one of five giant gold deposits (N100 t Au) in the NCC. The S505 vein is the largest, striking for 4.2 km with thickness of 0.2 to 8.2 m. The S512 vein is the second largest, striking up to 4 km, with thickness of 0.1 to 2 m. The other veins are generally 100 to 2000 m long, 0.5 to 1.5 m thick, but up to 1 km in depth along the dip direction. Ore grades vary from 2.3 to 248 g/t, with the majority ranging 5–17 g/t. Orebodies are mainly hosted in ductile–brittle faults showing reverse or normal displacement of several to tens meters.
