A fill & road metal quarry operated by the county government. Located on the South face of Mauldin Mountain, 3.5 miles (ca. 5.6 km) NW of Mt Ida. Rock is fractured Bigfork Chert. Workings are open cuts on the mountainside. Produced world-class wavellite specimens in the 1970s.
