Mineralization is mainly found in quartz veins in a shear zone 4-5 feet wide at the contact between serpentinized peridotite and porphyritic syenite. The property was first brought into production in 1950 by Ryan Lake Mines Ltd. and was mined by various companies until 1964. Total production was approx. 5 million pounds of copper; 11,000 pounds of molybdenum; 36,141 oz. of silver and 1,352 oz. of gold. The property was owned (but not mined) by Pax International Mines Ltd in 1967 and is currently (2011) owned by Pacific Comox Resources Ltd.
