Arquipélago de São Pedro e São Paulo, Pernambuco
A group of small uninhabited islands on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge between Brazil and Africa, belonging politically to the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. The entire archipelago is legally an environmentally protected area. Serpentinized mantle peridotite, geologically important because it is the only place where Earth's mantle is exposed above sea level.
