Other/historical names associated with this locality:
Zoila Mine (azurite)

According to Panczner (1987) on p. 104: "Limited distribution. [Azurite] Crystals to 2 cm. Associated with Quartz." "This locality is across the valley from San Carlos and is a series of small, shallow prospects."

The proper mine name is Mina Zoila.

To the east of the azurite locality about 5 km are a series of fluorite veins one of which periodically produces very fine fluorites on a drusy quartz matrix. Most are heavily encrusted with siliceous caliche which is difficult to remove.
