Vein-type uranium deposits in the southwestern part of the Zhuguang granite complex, which forms part of the Nanling granite belt. Most of the deposits are granite-hosted (intragranitic deposits), but some are hosted in an adjacent red-bed basins. The ores are typically low-grade "red ores", which largely consist of red microcrystalline quartz with minor pitchblende, hematite and pyrite. This ore type accounts for the bulk of proven resources.
