Large cleft system, hosted in blueschist facies metabasalts, on the Tête de Toillies/Rocca Niera south-west slope, only a few metres below Col de la Blanche.
This occurrence, discovered in 1985, has yielded highly aesthetic epidote crystals (up to 41x23 cm!) in association with colourless to white albite crystals (up to 5-6 cm in size).
Note: specimens from this locality are erroneosly labelled in some public and private collections as from Col Longet (Col de Longet; Col du Longet).
