Köppen climate type:
An old, temporay wast dump area, 2-3 km N of Hasvik. The area has been used for taking out aggregates for road construction. Several small cavities with small quartz crystals have been found here.
A large amethyst cavity (2 x 3-4 m) has produced specimen of amethysts (now empty) and is located a the seashore 50 m west of the old waste dump area.
