The Baga diggings are about halfway between Bendougou and Diako.
NOTE: I'm almost 100% sure "Diako" is nothing else but "Diakon" and also "Djouga" might be the same. I'll do more research about this and post the findings. Been there myself in 2011. See my other edit for "Bendoukou". (Hubertus (Hu) Hühne)
Note: The 1:250,000 topographic map sheet Sandare, Feuille ND-29-XIV gives the spelling as Diako. The Baga Diggings are about 3.5 km north of Diako immediately west of the track to Bendougou (Binndougou on map sheet, but spelled Bendougou on government documents and on signposts to the village). The Djouga diggings are about 7 km northeast of Bendougou just off the track north to Diabe. (Demetrius Pohl)
