A copper mine, working ENE-trending lodes hosted in metamorphosed killas traversed by elvan dykes. The main lode was followed for a distance of 800 yards (ca. 732 m) across the Red River valley. The workings are completely built over by the junction of the A30 and A3047 roads. A shaft dump remains in a field adjacent to the A30 road, about 100 yards (ca. 91 m) further northeast.
From 1847 to 1875, the mine produced 1,720 tons of 7.5% copper ore, 1.5 tons of black tin and 125 tons of pyrite.
