Known today as the home of the Dragon Cement plant, Rockland has been involved with the production of lime for well over 100 years. A string of old, flooded, narrow quarries lines Old County Road. Dragon's active quarry is just east of where Old County Rd heads northeast off of US Rt 1 (New County Road).
