Formerly: Pyroxene and Pyrite Occurrences, Highway 5 extension, Hull Township, Gatineau Co., Québec, Canada

Several bodies of pyroxene, mica and/or pyrite rich calcite were exposed during construction. Remnants of some are still visible. The largest were on the floor of the roadcut. The pyroxene was found as dark-green well formed crystals, sometimes altered. Mica crystals were well-formed, often prismatic. The pyrites were also well-formed, occurring as lustrous cubic crystals. The roadcut was exposed during the construction of Autoroute 5 extension (Phase I) during 2008-2009.
