A group of small diamond mines, working a series of sub-parallel kimberlite dykes intruded into Proterozoic dolomites. The dykes were worked almost continuously since their discovery in 1952. The area has been sub-divided into various mines that have changed names and ownership over time. Some of the dykes produce diamonds of high-quality.
