Occurrence of unusual quartz crystals with a lattice-like arrangement caused by epitactic intergrowth with feldspar.
The exact locality is not known, but the occurrence is said to be at the border between the Erongorus 166 farm and the Bergsig 167 farm (and not, as given by local prospectors, the Davib Ost farm). That border is indicated by the straight segment of a green line on the OpenStreetMap and the OpenTopoMap extending north-northeastward from the Hohenstein summit at the southwest corner of the Erongo Mountains; Erongorus 166 lies to the west of the line and Bergsig 167 to the east (from the 1:250,000 Omaruru topographic sheet reproduced in Cairncross & Bahman 2006). The Mindat marker is placed near the midpoint of the boundary as an approximation of the location. That line also separates the Karibib Constituency on the west from the Omaruru Constituency on the east.
