Discussions with Jim Stoops at the recent Central US Micromineral Symposium in Clarksville, Indiana have shed more light on the exact location of the Augusta Ridge phosphate locality. Jim has collected there and recalls that the Pinhoti Trail that the late Dr. Henry Barwood referenced actually comes off US 278/AL 74. He and I perused Mindat and Google Earth and believe now that the Augusta Ridge locality corresponds to an Unnamed Iron locality in Mindat with an ID of MRDS-10136405. Revised coordinates for the Augusta Ridge locality are: 33.975, -85.474.
