A silver mine 1.5 miles NW of Covada. It worked a mineralized zone of silicified granodiorite beccia, 8'-30' wide that occurs adjacent to an alaskite dike. Mineralization in the beccia zone is up to 150' wide being primarily Antimony on the west side of the dike and silver/gold on the east. Development includes a 400' crosscut adit, an 80' adit and a large irregular open cut. It produced at least 120 tons of ore.
Tectonics: Jurassic To Cretaceous Granitic To Granodiorite Rocks Intrude Metamorphosed Orovician? Rocks (Joseph, 1990, Geol. Map, P. 34).
Deposit: The longstreet mine is in jurassic to cretaceous granite to granodiorite of the meteor area (joseph, 1990, geol. Map, p. 34). ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Development: Econ.com: produced at least 120 tons of ore. A handpicked ore shipment ran 25% sb. Three carloads shipped ran 53-57 oz/ton Ag and about 0.2 oz/ton Au (huntting, 1956, p. 291).
