Silver bearing calcite veins cutting diabase were discovered in 1908 by the Otisse brothers. Between 1908 and 1910 two shafts were sunk the deepest being 160 ft. The only record of production for that period was 2.380 oz. of Ag and minor cobalt. In 1963 Marjortrans Oil and Mines Ltd. reopened the mine and extracted some high grade silver ore. In 1964 G.S.Welsh acquired the property and extracted 100 tons of ore for test milling.
