Solberg is the name of a farm about 3 km east of Tvedestrand.

The Solberg Fe Mines are located in the hills SW of the Solberg Farm, west of the Highway E 18.

It consisted originally of 4 mines: Solberg Mine, Fiane mine, Gangdalstjern mine and Solbergåsen mine respectively.

Hoever, the NGU describes 3 additional mines as being part of the same deposit area. It seems therefore convenient to include these in Mindat in the same group.

The NGU reistered these mine in a report:

Deposit Area 914 - 011

Without specifying the mines individual production, the report writes that 100.000 tons of ore have been produced, leaving behind a dump with a volume of 900 m3.

The Solberg mine can be visited during the summer season.

The coordinates are for the farm.
