The name of this locality remains doubtful. While "Handan Iron Mines" is a well-known mining company which runs many of the mines in the Handan-Xingtai area, as specific mine of that name appears to be unknown. Internet searches for 邯郸铁矿 (i.e. the Chinese name) did not return a single reference to a specific mine, but only reports on the company or on mines with different names that are operated by it. It thus seems that "Handan iron mine" is a generic name which refers to one or several mines of that company.
