Chipurupalle deposit; Cheepurpalli deposit

"Kodurite" rock, a manganese-rich metamorphic rock, sometimes rich enough to comprise Mn ore, and primarily consisting of spessartine (spandite series), Mn-rich pyroxene, K-feldspar and apatite.

The trend of formation of the deposit is in a Westerly to South-easterly direction.

The Chipurupalle deposit comprised six quarries, now all flooded: Batuva, Avagudem, Karlam, Govendapuram, Pandanadepalle and Palavalsa.
