Köppen climate type:
Not a real mineral locality, but a creek where dozens of ore beneficiation plants have been established since the 16th century, with tremendous amounts of contamination entering the river. Although the contamination of this little stream is indeed shocking, the news media have incorrectly blamed it for fish die offs and contamination in the Pilcomayo river, hundreds of kilometres downstream, which is nonsense. (No significant quantity of Potosi's mining pollutants reach that far downstream. The true cause of contamination in the lower Pilcomayu is bad agricultural practices by the upstream campesinos.
