Albert Mines is a community in the south-eastern corner of the Canadian province of New Brunswick, in Albert County. It is due south of the Village of Hillsborough and bordered by the communities of Demoiselle Creek and Edgett's Landing.

A deposit of Albertite ("solid petroleum" or "asphalt") was discovered in 1820 by Abraham Gesner and mined between 1854 and 1884 producing an estimated 200,000 tons of Albertite [Martin, 2003] (info from Wikipedia).
