Large, excellent milarite specimens were collected here in the 1960's (White, 1970; Moore, 2004). The locality has been erronously confused with the Rössing Uranium Mine http://www.mindat.org/loc-3085.html] in Arandis area. In the literature it has been referred to as "Rossing, Swakopmund" (White, 1970), as "Klein Spitzkopje" and "sometimes called Rössing Uranium Mine" (Moore 2004).
