Sar Kuh prospect
Porphyry Cu deposit located about 6 km southwest of the genetically identical Sarcheshmeh deposit. Situated in the central section of the Kerman Cenozoic Magmatic Arc (KCMA).
The mineralisation originated due to a porphyry granodiorite body which intruded into Eocene volcanics and volcaniclastics. Hydrothermal alteration zones (potassic, propylitic, phyllic, and advanced argillic) are observed in the area. The most important part of the mineralisation is associated with potassic alteration and occurs as quartz-sulphide veinlets and as disseminated and stockwork types. The main mineralization formd between 250 and 527°C. Primary ore minerals include chalcopyrite, pyrite, magnetite and minor molybdenite.
