The Ain Kerma Project is a gold project some 30km ENE of the town of Tan Tan and approximately 50 km from the Atlantic seaboard (on the
northern side of the Draa River valley).
Gold-bearing quartz veins.
About 50 parallel to sub-parallel NW-SE trending quartz structures have been identified at Ain Kerma. The veins are hosted by green-grey fine gravels of late Neoproterozoic age. As a general rule, these structures do not appear to extend into the overlying carbonates.
The Azougar N’Tilili deposit is similar.
