Epithermal-mesothermal super-fine grained Carlin-like gold deposit. Orogenic Reserves: 2.2 t Au

The Dixu pyroclastic-hosted gold deposit is a recently identified Carlin-type gold deposit located in the central-southern Youjiang Basin. The deposit is predominantly hosted within Permian pyroclastic rock, with orebodies extending up to approximately 800 m in strike length and ranging in thickness from 0.67 to 35.1 m, exhibiting an average Au grade of 1.7 g/t Au and containing 10.6 t of Au reserves. More than ten gold-bearing zones have been delineated within the deposit and are subdivided into four distinct segments: Hongbin, Bagan, Boyalie, and Dixu.
Three distinct paragenetic sequences have been identified based on characteristic mineral assemblages and cross-cutting vein relationships. These sequences are as follows: (1) an early ore-forming stage dominated by quartz and pyrite; (2) a main ore-forming stage marked by the presence of quartz, arsenopyrite, pyrite, and hydrothermal rutile; and (3) a late-ore stage consisting of quartz, calcite, pyrite, and stibnite.
