Köppen climate type:
A gold mine.
The Linglong biotite granite and Guojialing granodiorite serve as the host rocks for gold mineralization and widely exposed in the deposit. Gold mineralization in this deposit is controlled by NE-trending local fault zones, namely Houjia, Dongzhuang, and Jiaojia faults. Ore bodies vary from 100 to 300 m in strike length and 0.5–20 m in thickness, dipping NE (dip angle = 35–55°) with a gold grade of 5–9 g/t. Gold ores occur as massive, disseminated , brecciated, veined close to major faults, and change to veinlet and stockwork distal to faults. Four stages of mineralization-alteration have been recognized: 1) pyrite-quartz stage, 2) gold-quartz-pyrite stage, 3) gold-quartz-polymetallic sulfide stage, and 4) quartz-carbonate stage.
