"...we were told of a new digging called Kenge since it is reached from Kenge village about 15km west of Mfouati. The diggings can only be reached by walking 25km south of Mfouati or Kenge. We saw some specimens up to 20x15cm covered in crusts of 1cm crystals. Unfortunately many appear coated with a clay-silica crust or are slightly weathered. Velvet malachite in mammillary crusts to 3cm thick also comes from this locality. Azurite in microcrystals on malachite or as sparkly crystals in small cavities in siliceous jasperoid also occurs here." Note: the name of this village may be Kinanga-Kenge. GPS coordinates have been provisionally set to this village.
