A series of some 20 columbite pegmatite veins hosted by Proterozoic metasedimentary rocks. The pegmatites occur just south of the national highway BR 226, approximately 20 km before you reach Currais Novos. The subvertical veins reach maximum widths of 4 m and are sporadically mined for their Ta and Nb grades.
