A finely disseminated molybdenite in a calcite/quartz matrix. The percentage of Molybdenite is between 3 and 4% in a band approximately 60 cm thick. This vein appears to cut through granitic gneiss and was traced for 20 meters along the top of a ridge. This is a showing that I stumbled upon while searching for an old MDI listing for quartz crystals collected here that are at the ROM. The showing is located 400 meters NW of the NW corner of Esson Lake on the top of NE facing slope.
