Aghbala Caïdat is an administrative subdivision (caïdat) in the central High Atlas region of Morocco, forming part of a predominantly mountainous and rural landscape characterised by high elevations, deeply incised valleys, and sparse settlement. The area lies within the core of the High Atlas Mountains, where relief is controlled by rugged topography and strong climatic gradients. Geologically, Aghbala Caïdat is underlain mainly by Palaeozoic and Mesozoic sedimentary rocks, locally deformed and uplifted during the Cenozoic Atlas orogeny, with widespread folding, faulting, and erosion.
