Heiberg groeve, Sibbe, Limburg, Nederland.

The Heiberg quarry is a marl quarry in the Dutch municipality of Valkenburg aan de Geul in South Limburg. The underground quarry is located southeast of Valkenburg in the southern part of the Biebosch slope forest on the northeastern edge of the Margraten Plateau in the transition to the Geuldal. In situ, the plateau plunges steeply for a number of meters, the quarry itself is located near a sunken road (IJzeren Koeweg) that is cut into the plateau from the Sibbergrubbe.

About 85 meters to the northwest are the Ingvarsputje and Canadasbergske, to the northeast are the Sansovet and Sint-Jansboschheide quarries and about 50 meters to the southeast is the Groeve aan de Heide.

From the 17th to the 19th century, the quarry was mined by block crushers for the extraction of limestone.

The quarry has an area of approximately 359 square meters with a corridor length of approximately 65 meters.

The entrance to the quarry is closed, so that bats can use the quarry as a roost.

The manager of the quarry is the D.C. van SchaÃŊk Foundation. In 2017, the quarry was assessed for safety and approved.
