The vein richest in gold of all the Rodalquilar mines and the type locality of rodalquilarite, discovered in 1967.
The English company "Minas de Rodalquilar S.A.", which exploited the mine between 1919 and 1936, opened two shafts on vein 340, on levels 179 and 203, abandoning the work because they were sterile. Years later, around 1963, Adaro resumed the search at a lower level, level 165.
The result was spectacular. On December 28, 1963, when it had already been decided to abandon the work, the discovery of a very high gold content would make that exploitation the richest of all those that had been worked until then. From about 12,000 tonnes of treated ore, more than 1,000 kilos of gold would be obtained.
The depletion of the vein also meant the closure of the mines in 1966. Following the attempts to reopen the mines by a multinational not bearing fruit in 1989, they were definitively closed in 1990.
