Cantera de la Punta de los Organos, Macizo de Anaga, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife,

Former quarry that exploited a spout of basalt, located on the tip of the "organs", the end of "Teresitas Beach".

Petrographically it is an alkaline gabbro (essexite).

It is reached by road between the towns of San Andres and Igueste de San Andres, both belonging to the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

In the exploitation period there was a landing, coming down the rock into the sea, there are still remnants of installations.

Of particular interest are areas with veins where numerous minerals crystallize in vugs. This is a perfect example of gas phase enrichment resulting in differentiated type pegmatites.

The site is currently under study (2020).
