Outcrop next to Ayosa viewpoint, in the TF-24.
This is a wonderful example of a pyroclastic rock containing perfect crystals of augite and hornblende who seem to have "rained" with volcanic material
The crystals are at a level of pyroclasts light colored and fine fraction.
Below there is a darker level of coarser fraction which is also observed but less defined crystals fused to pyroclasts (welded).
It is therefore clear that there is a change in focus geochemistry resulting issuer, the "rain" of crystals.
NOTE: This outcrop is within the National Park of the Cañadas del Teide, thus collecting is completely prohibited. The site can only be observed from the road.
