Koongalin Hill Mine is 3.2 kilometres east-northeast of Moxom Well Mine in the Braeside lead field.

The workings follow a 0.3 metre wide quartz vein striking at 300 degrees, that links two barren veins trending 340 degrees in vesicular basalt of the Kylena Formation. It contains two shafts, and a few open cuts along a strike length of 180 metres.

Mining took place from 1925-1927 and 1949, producing 34.5 tonnes of lead and 0.28 kilograms of silver.

Galena, chrysocolla, cerussite, malachite, pyromorphite, kaolinite, illite, quartz, goethite, hematite, coronadite, plattnerite and linarite have been found here.
